2007 Fall Palmetto High School Golf Championship
The Palmetto High School Golf Championship holds both a highly competitive spring and fall season event. These tournaments provide high school golf teams from across the nation regardless of ability with the premier experience of participating in a college style event. The spring event is already preparing for more than 110 teams from across the nation. In its 10th season, the Palmetto High School Championship tournaments plan on hosting over 160 schools in the current 2007 year.
Willbrook Golf Plantation and Wachesaw Plantation East welcomed the third annual Fall Palmetto High School Golf Championship back to the Myrtle Beach area. The 54 – hole tournament was held on September 14th - 15th on both Willbrook Plantation and Wachesaw Plantation East. The tournament consisted of 64 boys and 56 girls competing from seven different states. A record breaking 23 teams of girls and boys enjoyed perfect playing conditions as our own Myrtle Beach High School served as host to the event. The Fall Palmetto Championship recognized the top five individual finishers and top three teams in both divisions. This year’s 2007 Fall Palmetto Tournament was a complete success on Willbrook Plantation and Wachesaw Plantation East, as more junior golfers participated than ever before in the tournament’s history. The championship event has clearly proven to be one of the most competitive high school team tournaments in the nation.
