The National City League has awarded the Georgetown County community the esteemed 2005 All America City Award.

Georgetown County is well know for its rich history, beautiful natural scenery and strong sense of culture. It has become a popular destination for visitors and tourists, who flock to the many golf courses, waterways and historical sites. But these treasures are not what make Georgetown County and All American City. The sense of pride among Georgetown County residents comes from something even more valuable than beauty and attractions: a commitment to quality of life for all citizens.
