Located in Longs, South Carolina off Highway 9, Crown Park Golf Club is known as one of the Myrtle Beach area’s “best kept secrets.” Convenient to North Myrtle Beach, the course offers tremendous value for the greens fee. In addition, it is a rarity on the Grand Strand in that there are no houses on the golf course, lending a feeling of tranquility in nature to the experience of playing a round. The TifEagle putting surfaces are known for being smooth and fast and with a maximum rating and slope of 71.3 and 128 from the 6,477-yard back tees, the golf course is not overly punishing. This makes Crown Park an especially attractive option for the first round of one’s trip. It is a par-72 golf course, with the standard configuration of ten par fours, four par threes and four par fives.
With two of its par fives playing less than 500 yards from the back tees, there are opportunities for golfers to bag a rare eagle or two-putt birdie. One of these is the 483-yard 11th, which plays mostly straightaway before veering to the right up by the green. A well-struck tee shot down the left hand side of the fairway will yield an opportunity to try for the green, guarded by one of Crown Park’s well-placed, amoeba-shaped bunkers, in two.
Crown Park’s facilities are well-appointed, with an expansive grass driving range and a spacious putting and chipping green, as well as a practice greenside bunker. In addition, Crown Park is one of a handful of Myrtle Beach-area golf courses that offers GPS-based yardage information. The clubhouse houses a well-appointed golf shop as well as a dining area for pre- and post-round snacks and libations.

I love Crown Park, its sad to see what the greens have become out there. Played it several times and I will be back cause I love the layout, but right now the greens do need a lot of work.

Very nice people at Crown Park but the course had slipped since we played it in 2010. It is still a nice course and has a nice design to it. Overall, I enjoyed it but the greens were the place where neglect was the most evident.

We all went only one time. place was not well kept, staff was not helpful. Had to wait to be waited on for our already tee time. Grill was awful from staff to selection of food and drink. very warm busy day no beverage cart. The golf course was not kept up at all greens were horrible

Reasonable course. Good starting course for your week. Not too long but it did have a lot of doglegs and short holes. Could only hit driver 2 times on the front nine and only 4 times on the back. The staff were very friendly and the superintendent gave us some good tips on the practice green.
