In the Myrtle Beach area, Litchfield Country Club is regarded as a favorite year after year by local residents and visitors alike. Since the Willard Byrd-designed course opened, golfers continue to be attracted to the natural beauty of Lowcountry golf that Litchfield Country Club provides.
Located in the beautiful Pawleys Island community, Litchfield Country Club sits amid towering oaks and pine trees. Litchfield is a traditional shot-maker’s golf course with numerous doglegs that require strategic placement off the tee to give you the best angle into the well-protected greens. Its overall length is 6,752 yards from the tips but the course plays deceptively long and has five sets of tees to make it a fair test of golf for all players. Litchfield is one of the more lady-friendly golf courses in the Myrtle Beach area and does not require long forced carries over hazards to play effectively.
Litchfield Country Club, with all its southern charm, is dedicated to serving not only your golfing needs by providing a great golfing experience and weekly golf clinics to help improve your game, but can serve your social needs as well. Litchfield Country Club offers you and your family a special place to host a wedding, meeting or special family event. Check out the recently remodeled Clubhouse and let them show you how they can provide a memorable Lowcountry experience and excellent service.
If you’re visiting the Myrtle Beach area we invite you to come enjoy a day at Litchfield Country Club, recognized by Golf Digest “2008 Places to Play” and 4.5 stars.

Played as part of MB Golf Passport Outing. Course was really in nice shape for winter golf. Fairways and Greens very good. Event was well organized, and staff was great. I have played here a couple of times in non events. Have always said I would be back.

Old style golf course with lots of doglegs & nice par 3's. Fairways are a little thin in areas & the greens are putting slow but overall not in bad shape. Most MB courses are suffering some right now. Pace of play was just under 4 hours as a foursome. Very friendly staff.

Extremely female friendly. They even had a set of tees in front of the reg red tees (for juniors) These were perfect for my wife to play.People should be able to play from where their ability lets them.
It makes the game much more enjoyable.

Very helpful and attentive staff. Unfortunately, we got rained out after 1-1/2 holes. We have a rain check so will be back!
As Litchfield Country Club celebrates 50 years of golfers teeing off on this great Willard Byrd layout, the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association (MBAGCOA) has crowned it Myrtle Beach's 2016 Golf Course of the Year.
With the Summer Olympiad soon to unfold in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the world of golf has gone a bit nutty for torches, medals, five-ring logos and all that good Olympic stuff. Call them underrated, undervalued or even under-appreciated. We call them five of the Grand Strand’s “Best Bang for the Buck.” Ian Guerin spotlights five courses you'll know were worth every dollar you spent.
