Litchfield Country Club

Litchfield Country Club opened in 1966 on the site of an old rice plantation. Located in Pawleys Island, it is one of the oldest and finest golf treasures in the Myrtle Beach area. For years golfers have enjoyed the traditional layout and southern atmosphere.

The beauty of the surroundings is captivating and the golf course is challenging for golfers of all abilities. Good course management and club selection are both very important to navigate the many doglegs on this wonderful Willard Byrd design. The tree-lined fairways reward accurate tee-shots and the center of the green is a good target on most approach shots.

Litchfield's signature hole, the scenic par-4 18th, was named one of “The 100 Greatest Holes along the Grand Strand” by The Sun News. In 2008, Litchfield Country Club was awarded 4.5 stars in Golf Digest's “Places to Play.” The original clubhouse highlights Litchfield's southern charm and it is a must-play for golfers visiting the Grand Strand.

Really enjoyed Litchfield CC. We played on Thursday, the fairways and greens were in pristine condition, even after all the rain on Tuesday and Wednesday. We appreciated going off as a twosome, there are clubs that won't allow that. Great time.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. Course was wide open they started is off on the back and we did not see another golfer all day! We will definitely play this course next trip down to the grand stand!!

Grill was being renovated, so selection was limited.

The course was in good shape, nothing spectacular. The service was outstanding. Definitely the most pleasant and helpful staff we found.

Considering all the rain - the course was in great shape. Greens mowed/clean. Pace of play was great.

Starter, Paul, was very helpful. I'm from up north, found the local grass texture to be quite different. Ground is very spongy, don't get a lot of roll.
