Litchfield Country Club
619 Country Club Dr, Pawleys Island, SC
8.5
Litchfield Country Club opened in 1966 on the site of an old rice plantation. Located in Pawleys Island, it is one of the oldest and finest golf treasures in the Myrtle Beach area. For years golfers have enjoyed the traditional layout and southern atmosphere.
The beauty of the surroundings is captivating and the golf course is challenging for golfers of all abilities. Good course management and club selection are both very important to navigate the many doglegs on this wonderful Willard Byrd design. The tree-lined fairways reward accurate tee-shots and the center of the green is a good target on most approach shots.
Litchfield's signature hole, the scenic par-4 18th, was named one of “The 100 Greatest Holes along the Grand Strand” by The Sun News. In 2008, Litchfield Country Club was awarded 4.5 stars in Golf Digest's “Places to Play.” The original clubhouse highlights Litchfield's southern charm and it is a must-play for golfers visiting the Grand Strand.
