Designed by course architect, Dan Maples, Pearl’s fast rolling greens and finely manicured fairways are cut through southern North Carolina forest and border the coastal marshland and Calabash River. Named “Best New Public Course” by Golf Digest, this course is consistently ranked among the top golf courses in the Carolinas. The signature hole is the 17th, a 396 yard marsh-lined par 4 followed by the 18th hole, which ambles around salt marshes and the Calabash River.

Nice course. Slow play. Greens were fair. Excellent shape. April 2013. Beautiful layout. Scorecard did not have hole layouts. Made it difficult to play for the first time. They had them in the clubhouse.

This was one of the worst courses I have ever played in Myrtle Beach. I was looking for a last minute addition on the day we were leaving and was recommended this course. It is in horrible shape and could use some severe work to get it in shape. Pace of play was brutal and there were no marshalls on the course. I will never play this course again.

Very nice course..had some tricky holes . the course was poorly marked as to hazzard etc. Gave no distance to water etc. Will play again People were nice

My second favorite course of the four we played. Very good value for the price and better than some higher priced courses I have played on other golf trips to Myrtle.

Played 12/02/12, fairways overseeded, greens continue to be bent grass, light residue remains from the last top dressing, improved conditions from earlier this year, greens can be severe as they are shaped with false fronts and sides, pin placements near the sides of greens are very tough, cart paths are quite tired and need repair, remains good architecture and a nice piece of land.

Tees, fairways and greens had just been overseeded. There was only 1 other group on the course and no beverage service. I highly suggest the hotel check course conditions more often. I was disappointed that I paid a premium price for this.
