Rivers Edge Golf Club and Plantation has recently earned an overall rating of 8.5 from reviewers at the Myrtle Beach Golf Insider, garnering praise for course layout, overall experience, and course condition.

Designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer, this golf course close to Myrtle Beach was built on a pristine piece of property on the banks of Shallotte River. Golfers that enjoy a challenge on the course, along with a beautiful scenic setting, River’s Edge is the place to be. It was recognized by Golf Digest as among “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses” in 2005 and 2007, and GolfWeek ranked it the #5 course in North Carolina. The signature hole No. 18, a 350-yard par 4, plays very challenging with a great view of the clubhouse to finish the round.

I enjoyed the layout, but there are a lot of blind tee shots , & a yardage book would have made play a LOT more enjoyable. Was told at the pro shop they, don't have books, use the score card or download on a smart phone was what they told me. They NEED yardage books IMO . Course conditions good, but not as good as South Creek.
