Course designer Mike Stranz has really built a Lowcountry masterpiece, with fertile landscape of twisted live oaks and towering pines, tidal creeks and salt marshes as the backdrop for this magnificent course. True Blue has been recognized by Golf Digest as the “No. 1 Public Golf Course in the Myrtle Beach Area”, and made the list of “America’s Top 100 Public Courses.” The most recognized holes at True Blue are actually the first set of holes that includes two par 5’s and an island green par 3. Players that survive the first four at close to “their par” are setup for a good scoring day. So be ready at the first tee.

The day before I left my range finder at Caledonia. I went to the Pro Shop and asked if they would call to see if it had been turned in. They called and then went to pick it up for me and brought it out on the course for me. Excellent service from Bag drop to Pro shop! Best on the Strand!

Was very disappointed. Hated all the waste areas-just too much. Also almost every hole but 17 & 18 were bunkered directly in front. Too much for amateurs. Fairways were not green specked with a lot of yellow. Also thought fairways were too short

I really enjoy this course. Look forward to playing it each year. But it is in the worse shape of the four courses we played. Please work on your course in general, especially tee boxes.
