Wachesaw Plantation East Golf Club represents the best of a traditional Scottish Design golf course. Architect Clyde Johnston carved this course out of a former rice plantation in Murrells Inlet. With rolling mounds and tree-lined fairways, Wachesaw East can be visually challenging. Good golf shots are typically rewarded and especially ones landing on the receptive, quick and true rolling greens.
Known for hosting four LPGA Tour events, Wachesaw East provides a fantastic value for golfers wanting to play a well-maintained course for a few bucks less. Named 2007 Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year by the Myrtle Beach Golf Course Owners Association, Wachesaw East remains a frequent favorite place to play by Myrtle Beach locals.

The staff was amazing. The course layout is really difficult, I am looking forward to playing the course again and using the knowledge gained to shoot a better round.

Staff did not allow us to drive our cart to the practice range, where there was plenty of room to park out of the way. They have a wonderful grill, but the starter did not allow enough time to use the restroom and carry our food to eat on the cart! We were the paying customers and the course was NOT busy! No need to have a grill if you discourage customers from using. This is a course we will NOT visit again, which is sad because it was our favorite course we played for the past two years.
