LPGA Tour star Natalie Gulbis recently visited <a href="http://www.mbn.com/courses/river-club">River Club</a> in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and played its signature finishing hole &ndash; the par-5 18th, featuring plenty of risk/reward opportunity. Mel Sole of the Mel Sole Golf School at Pawleys Plantation and Grande Dunes Resort Club in Myrtle Beach was on hand to offer a guided tour.

Mel Sole:&nbsp; Hi. This is Mel Sole from the Mel Sole Golf School, and we&#39;re here on the 18th tee at the River Club, and I&#39;d like to welcome Natalie Gulbis, LPGA star. Natalie, what is the favorite thing that you have done so far in Myrtle Beach?
Natalie Gulbis: &nbsp;Well, aside from the Myrtle Beach golf courses, which have been incredible, I got to paddleboard around Pawleys Island.
Mel Sole:&nbsp; Oh, cool.
Natalie Gulbis: &nbsp;And that was really fun.
Mel Sole:&nbsp; Well, we&#39;re on the signature hole here, and this is definitely a risk/reward shot. The carry over the corner here is 225 yards. If you think you&#39;ve got that distance, you have a go. Natalie, take it away.
Natalie Gulbis: &nbsp;Okay, I&#39;m ready to go, then.
Mel Sole:&nbsp; Well, Natalie, great drive. You put yourself in position A, as we say, and you got about 173 yards to the pin. What do you really like about these risk/reward type par 5s?
Natalie Gulbis: &nbsp;The chance to make eagle.
Mel Sole:&nbsp; Yeah.
Natalie Gulbis:&nbsp; I love hitting par 5s in 2 and having that putt for eagle. But on the tee, knowing that you hit a good drive and you&#39;ll have a chance to reach it in 2 and, if you miss it, then you have to lay up and still have another chance to make a birdie.
Mel Sole:&nbsp; Yeah.
Natalie Gulbis: &nbsp;But it&#39;s that chance to have a putt for eagle.
Mel Sole:&nbsp; Good. Well, let&#39;s see if we can do that.
Natalie Gulbis:&nbsp; Okay.
Mel Sole:&nbsp; Well, Natalie, you got your wish. You have an eagle putt here on the 18th at the River Club, but I want you to tell the folks at home, what did you really like about this golf course?
Natalie Gulbis: &nbsp;The layout. I love the design. I love the golf course like this, or traditional golf course &#8211; everything&#39;s out in front of you, you can see the landing areas, you can see your approaches into the green, and my favorite part is how good of shape it&#39;s in. The greens are incredible and just tee to green, it&#39;s in phenomenal shape.
Mel Sole:&nbsp; Yeah, I think all the golf courses in Myrtle Beach are fun to play, but the <a href="http://www.mbn.com/courses/river-club">River Club</a>, you&#39;re going to get great greens every time. Come and see us.&nbsp;
