Creating Golf Experiences The easy and affordable “buddy trip” has been the hallmark of the Myrtle Beach golf scene for nearly a half century. Though the people, resources and technologies needed to make it possible have changed significantly in that span, the theme of the pursuit remains constant – an annual spring golf pilgrimage of pals in search of fun, fellowship and a few rounds of golf! So when a visionary group of golf course and accommodation owners created the golf package concept in the early 1960s, it spawned a tradition of “creating golf experiences” that has transformed the Myrtle Beach area into a golf mecca enjoyed by nearly 1 million golfers each year.
There is now a new legacy for making this time-honored tradition more attainable than ever before. The formation of National Golf Management (NGM) merges assets of the two largest Myrtle Beach area golf course management operators, each with a shared vision of continuing to “create memorable golf experiences.” ...
