Coming to Myrtle Beach for the golf and ignoring the area’s best seafood restaurants would be downright criminal.
But with a few hundred options around, where do you cast? 
Whether you’re staying up near the North Carolina border, on the south end of the Grand Strand golfing mecca, or somewhere in-between, we wanted to make sure you’ve got a head start. Five of our favorites range from shack-like to high-scale, from those drawing your eye to the next plate over to others overlooking the ocean.
Either way, we cut through the white(fish) noise to give you give best bait possible.

<a href="http://brothershuckersfishhouse.com/menu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BROTHER SHUCKER’S FISH HOUSE</a> 
Brother Shucker’s opened in doors in Carolina Forest in 2012 and immediately carved out its place in the dining scene. The owner, head chef and primary bartender came together to form an impressive dynamic in the relatively small store-front location, and the successes at Brother Shucker’s have been earned. It starts with items like the restaurant’s O’Brother Shrimp and shrimp BLT wrap, continues through heavier options like the Brother Cookout (ribs, shrimp and chicken) and the extensive wine list or even a Bloody Mary Flight.

With a recently updated motto of “Stay Fishy, My Friends,” Mr. Fish has gone to great lengths to stay current in what is a relatively clustered seafood market. It would be naive to believe that this establishment’s newer digs took anything away from its previous look. Visitors to the Myrtle Beach restaurant are greeted at the door by the adjoining market, where take-out orders are prepped similar to how they are in the kitchen. It is there that the likes of the crab mac &amp; cheese, the California grouper sandwich and the massive combo platter keep Mr. Fish at the top of its game.

Rockefeller’s never wanted to be known as a high-class joint, and the exterior of the building has scared away a few folks over the years. But they were the ones missing out. Known for its Oysters Rockefeller (duh), bacon-wrapped scallops and its Maine lobster pot, the North Myrtle Beach establishment serves up a welcoming environment, complete with captain’s chairs. What’s more, more than a few folks over the years have taken advantage of its Golfer’s Special, a full pound of seafood combined with noodles in its home made wine and garlic sauce.<img decoding="async" alt="Wahoos Fish House" src="/media/images/Wahoos.JPG" style="width: 375px;height: 211px;float: right" />

<a href="https://www.seacaptains.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SEA CAPTAIN’S HOUSE</a> 
A true giant in the Myrtle Beach dining industry, the views of the Atlantic Ocean from the back windows of Sea Captain’s House are somehow rivaled by the food making its way to the tables inside. For lunch, we recommend starting off with the McClellanville crab dip and then the jambalaya; during dinner hours, go all out and order the Southern Salmon Cordon Blue. Wrap up either with the key lime pie or the chocolate bourbon pecan pie. Just make sure you give yourself proper time to digest before any future activity.

<a href="https://www.wahoosfishhouse.com/">WAHOO’S FISH HOUSE</a> 
Located at the Marshwalk at Murrells Inlet (pictured right) &#8211; known to many as the Seafood Capital of South Carolina &#8211; Wahoo’s made a hefty splash with its two-story restaurant when it was purchased and re-branded under the current name in 2013. And while the menu itself isn’t going to offer everything under the sun, what Wahoo’s does, it does quite well. An impressive sushi selection feeds nicely into its Inlet Firecracker Shrimp, which in turn can be tied nicely with the crab cake dinner. They pay attention to the details here, all the while utilizing the stunning marsh off the east side of the property.
