You and the buddies have the courses and hotels lined up, and you’re looking for some off-course memory makers. When it comes to summer treks here, Myrtle Beach has you covered. From spots to snag a drink in a different environment to ways to just bond without a club in your hand, South Carolina’s Grand Strand knows how to entertain. Here are four ideas sure to hit the high notes for you and the guys.
BOATHOUSE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
A few years back, a relatively quiet joint decided it was going to try something new. A decade later, <a href="https://landingmb.com/">Boathouse Waterway Bar &amp; Grill</a> has proved that the idea has been a hit. The establishment’s summer concert series features a different act each Sunday afternoon. Acts span rock and rap, country and pop. All of it takes place outdoors, rain or shine, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. The drinks flow, and it provides a solid mix of locals and tourists.
PRO TIP: A few of the big-name groups coming in this summer will draw crowds, but don’t overlook some of the tribute acts. They are tried and true and put on a good show.
DRINKS OF MARKET COMMON TOUR
Each Sunday afternoon, promotions company Carolina Tours hosts a multi-stop walking tour of Myrtle Beach’s urban district. The adult-themed jaunt requires patrons to be 21 or older (for obvious reasons), and it includes drinks and appetizers at three restaurants, as well as additional points of interest along the way. This is a first-come, first-served event, and it is perfect for groups of four or more. Larger golf outings have found this to be the perfect segue between a morning on the links and a night on the town.
PRO TIP: When your group books this, also go ahead and make plans to schedule the Uber or Lyft ride (probably both ways). You won’t be driving after the fact.

What better way to explore that big pond that made Myrtle Beach famous than to get your buddies together and get out into it? PRO TIP: Check in advance on BYOB availability for your charter. Some have relaxed policies, while others all but encourage it. Either way, moderation on the open seas is a wise move.
BROADWAY AT THE BEACH
Any local who has lived here for a few cycles of the calendar can tell you that <a href="https://www.broadwayatthebeach.com/">Broadway</a> is a completely different place in Winter than it is in Summer. In the latter, you’re going to get the full-blown experience. The shops typically have longer hours, some of the restaurants expand their menus and “The Avenue” &#8211; the new name given to <a href="https://www.broadwayatthebeach.com/">Broadway’s</a> bar strip once known as “Celebrity Square” &#8211; pops with enough traffic to give it a life of its own. So whether you’re jumping on one of the speed boats or tipping drinks back past sundown, now is the perfect time to take advantage.
PRO TIP: There has been some major reshuffling in the bar district in reason years. Give yourself a few minutes to re-acclimate if it has been a while since your last trip.
