Lifting the curtain at <a href="https://www.mbn.com/courses/world-tour-golf-links">World Tour Golf Links</a> means discovering one of the intricacies of replica design.
Amid the thoughts of some of golf’s greatest holes &#8211; in their original version, of course &#8211; we’ve found that the Par 4s here are potential scoring monsters. On six of them, in particular, even the standard player can go for broke.
Taking a big hack off any of the following six tees is not only acceptable but encouraged. There is a large margin of error and a chance to put your ball pretty darn close to the green.
OPEN 9
NO. 1, 360 YARDS
Unlike the first hole at the St. Andrews Old Course, the opener at World Tour doesn’t typically have the types of winds on the Isles. What’s more, the vast majority of righties can really drop the hammer, thanks to the adjoining fairway from No. 9. A little left is no problem at all. (top photo)
NO. 4, 331 YARDS
The best among us could play a fade around the wide tree line to the left, and right up to the green. For those of us not in fantasy land, anything but dead right into a relatively off-set pond is great. Essentially anything in the good stuff leaves a direct view of the green.

With the front nine finisher playing uphill, most folks won’t have to worry about hitting back into the fairway on No. 1 &#8211; although it is a nice catch-all if you’re struggling. Otherwise, just avoid the condos up the right and take advantage of the view of the clubhouse behind the green.(pictured right)
CHAMPIONSHIP 9
NO. 1, 355 YARDS
Too many players spend too much time worrying about the dueling tree lines on the Championship 9 opener without realizing how much effort it takes to get to either. This Winged Foot East copy is a heck of a lot more forgiving than the PGA’s version.
NO. 4, 344 YARDS
A little bit of mounding, some slope toward the green and a wide berth off the tee give you every reason to pull your best DeChambeau impersonation. The opening hole of the swing through World Tour’s Amen Corner is designed to take the edge off regular players.

Championship’s seventh includes a sizable mound up the right side that prevents its share of errant shots from reaching a thick bed of pine needles. So, if you’re hugging that side through the air, there’s a good chance you’ll find a great bounce back and roll.(pictured right)
