MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. | You’ve got three full days and nights for your trip to South Carolina’s Grand Strand for a golf vacation with your buddies. This time around, you’re staying in the thick of it all, inside Myrtle Beach city limits. Maybe you don’t know the area too well, or maybe you’re just not feeling the decision-making process. Breathe easy &#8211; we’ve got you covered. You can utilize this mock timeline and apply it to your trip. We’ve included three rounds, three great restaurants and three entertainment options to mix in with your quickie meals or maybe a visit to the beach. These are some of our favorite spots for golf, food and fun.
 
DAY ONE
You’ve made your way to Myrtle Beach, the Golf Capital of the World, and it would be hard to say that starting your trip at the course that started it all is a bad idea. <a href="https://www.mbn.com/courses/pine-lakes-country-club">Pine Lakes Country Club</a> was originally founded in 1927 and was so popular that others began to try to mimic the phenomenon. It’s been touched up, sure, but so much of what made this course an icon remains to this day atop splendid conditions and a brilliant customer-service identity. From there, it’s on to one of one of the most popular and visited seafood restaurants in all of the area. <a href="https://mrfish.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mr. Fish</a> has changed locales and even much of its look, but the longstanding commitment to fresh fish, shrimp, oysters and more permeates the entire building and puts you in the mood for some great grub. After your meal, it’s time to get back on your feet and meander a bit. There’s probably not a better option for variety in that area than <a href="https://www.broadwayatthebeach.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Broadway at the Beach</a>. The property’s bar district has morphed over the years into the current configuration &#8211; one that includes a comedy club, a piano bar, multiple dance clubs and couple frozen drink joints, among others. Pace yourself, though. It’s only the first day.

A little over two decades after the would-be <a href="http://www.mbn.com/courses/pine-lakes-country-club">Pine Lakes</a> opened its tee sheets, the <a href="https://www.mbn.com/courses/the-dunes-golf-and-beach-club">Dunes Golf &amp; Beach Club</a> did the same on a small swath of land that would eventually grow and become something special. The now-18-hole course has a couple of the biggest names in design listed among its history, with one of the only views of the ocean among the 90 or so courses in the area. If that’s the historic part of your day, then it is time to add some of the new. <a href="https://artsushibar.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Art Burger Sushi Bar</a> has taken Myrtle Beach by storm via its high-end burgers, indelible and wide-ranging sushi menu and a cocktail list that will leave you wondering what it takes to live this close to the Atlantic. We’re going to keep you into the newest developments to finish up Day Two. <a href="https://topgolf.com/us/myrtle-beach/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Top Golf Myrtle Beach</a> opened in March of 2019 to rave reviews and a great location that was already golf-rich. All of that was by design, of course. The 72 bays here all face toward the ocean, so you’re going to get the smell of the saltwater in your face every time you snag your ball out of the mechanical retriever and tee it up again. Snag a beverage or maybe a late-night appetizer and keep the good times going.

Hopefully you’re ready to cap off this trip with an eye-popping third day, because we’re going to start it off with one of the biggest draws with a Myrtle Beach address. The <a href="https://www.mbn.com/courses/grande-dunes">Grande Dunes Resort Course</a> matches the region’s only Roger Rulewich Group layout with views of the bluffs overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. You won’t find better turf from which to hit a golf ball, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better backdrop for your foursome’s best picture from the entire trip. When should you go back to the hotel and get showered up? Yeah, you’re going to want to do that now, because we’re going to eliminate most of your driving for the rest of the day. Snag an Uber from your temp housing down to <a href="https://www.marketcommonmb.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Market Common</a>. Once there, your first stop is going to be <a href="https://gordonbiersch.com/locations/myrtle-beach/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gordon Biersch</a>. Grass-fed beef sliders or cheese curds, flat-bread pizzas or lobster and shrimp mac &amp; cheese, you can’t go wrong. (The brew pub doesn’t serve traditional domestics, but it won’t matter once you try one of their on-site beers. We suggest the ultra-reasonable flight options.) Now that you’re full, you can bounce around all the easily accessible spots <a href="https://www.marketcommonmb.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Market Common</a> has to offer by foot. Grab dessert at Delicieux Bakery, snag a movie, hit up another flight or two at <a href="https://www.brasstapbeerbar.com/myrtlebeach" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brass Tap</a> or catch the outdoor music and drinks at <a href="https://thekingstreetgrille.com/king-street-grille-myrtle-beach-market-commons/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">King Street Grille</a>. All of it will give you a few more tastes of the vacation life before you return home the next day.
