Meredith: We are at the beautiful Tradition Golf Club, and joining me today is head golf professional, Christa. Now some of you may know Christa because she has been a head golf professional on the southern end of Myrtle Beach for over two decades, so she is definitely the person that I want to talk to about golf on the southern end of Myrtle Beach. So Christa, thanks for having us here at Tradition Golf Club today, and why don't you just share with our viewers a little bit about golf here on the southern end.
Christa: Absolutely. Well first of all, you need to come visit us. Today is just a typical day in Myrtle Beach, absolutely gorgeous, sun is shining, it's 70-some degrees, the birds are chirping. We've got a lot of golfers on the course enjoying the day. Tradition is one of those golf courses that we get a lot of repeat golfers. A lot of people come back here because there's so many memorable holes here. Just a great golf course, great practice facility, great grill, everything about it is just really enjoyable.
Meredith: Yeah, it's so nice, and it's also surrounded by multiple golf courses, so if you're coming down to Myrtle Beach to play golf you really have a lot of selections here on the Waccamaw Golf Trail.
Christa: You do, actually. And as Meredith said, I've been at a lot of them down on the south end here, so within five minutes there are five other golf courses that you could play, all championship style golf courses. There's Litchfield Country Club, River Club, Willbrook. We've got a bunch of great golf courses right in this area. All of them are enjoyable. All of them are in good shape. All of them, it's absolutely beautiful today. You don't have to go far to find good golf down on Pawleys Island.
Meredith: Right. And you also get that sweet, low country feel. I mean, you come down here, you know what I want? I want a big sweet tea every time I come down here to play golf. You really do get that Southern charm on these courses. It's a little bit different than your traditional courses more in Myrtle Beach, and even on the northern end. I always suggest to golfers when you're coming to Myrtle Beach, at least hit one course on the southern end because it really does give you some variety when it comes to playing golf.
Christa: It does, and actually a lot of these courses were old rice plantations, and you can tell as you go around; there's a lot of Live Oaks, a lot of Spanish Moss, a lot of wildlife. You'll see a lot of alligators down here. It's just a great area. It's one of those where you'll get a variety, and you'll play golf and hopefully enjoy that, too.
Meredith: Absolutely. So, so many reasons why you need to come visit us here on the southern end. Come play Tradition Golf Club, or you can play River Club, Litchfield Country Club, Pawleys Plantation, Willbrook, so many other courses on our Waccamaw Golf Trail. And to do that, you can go to MBN.com, check out the rates, and also get a free, quick quote service. So if you're looking at a multiple package, they will certainly help you put together a fun golf package here on the southern end of Myrtle Beach. So Christa, thanks for having us out.
Christa: Absolutely. Thank you, Meredith. We'd love to have you come visit us.
