<p>The mercury is still soaring but cooler days and your fall golf trip are just around the corner. As excitement for the trip builds, we are here with an update on the <a href="https://www.mbn.com/courses/grande-dunes">Grande Dunes Resort Course</a> following a mid-August round on the Roger Rulewich design.&nbsp; </p>

<p>– Twelve months after a 2022 renovation project that included the restoration of the course’s greens and an overhaul of every bunker, Grande Dunes is in spectacular condition. The greens, with a year of maturity, are nearly flawless, not to mention lightning fast. The bunker work has paid big dividends in conditions, consistency and playability. The time and effort put into the course were well spent.&nbsp;</p>

<p>– The speed of the greens at <a href="https://www.mbn.com/courses/grande-dunes">Grande Dunes</a> is only part of what makes them so much fun. In the 2022 project, the greens were restored to their original size, adding an additional 30,000+ square feet of putting surface. The expansion dramatically increased the number of pinnable areas and the ability to be creative on some of the area’s largest greens. The combination of multiple levels, dramatic undulations and firm, fast conditions make the putting complexes at Grande Dunes among the best in all of South Carolina. You will love them.&nbsp;</p>

<p>– Arrive at the first tee ready to play. From the 396-yard opener (all distances from white tees) until the par 4 ninth hole that plays along an elevated bluff overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, the opening<img decoding="async" alt="" src="/media/images//Grande_Dunes_18th_Approach1.JPEG"> nine is the tougher of the two sides. Number 6, a 305-yard par 4, offers your best chance at birdie, assuming you avoid one of the hole’s cavernous bunkers. It’s a scenic but daunting start to a memorable round.&nbsp;</p>

Playing from a tee that overlooks a gargantuan green along the waterway, No. 14 is on the shortlist of Myrtle Beach’s most unforgettable challenges. Holes 10 and 15 also play along the water, helping make the final nine at Grande Dunes among the area’s most Instagram-worthy stretches.&nbsp;</p>
